Fury wants $500 million to fight Usyk or Joshua

On the sidelines, it is rumored that WBC belt holder British heavyweight Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will give the green light to the fight with the winner of the rematch for all other division titles between Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) from Ukraine and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) from England, perhaps for a solid prize pool.

Media representatives and experts agreed on an amount of 200 million USD, but
Fury claimsthat this is not enough for him: “I saw that The Sun tried to guess how much money I would agree to return to boxing. They suggest that 200 million will be enough for me. But to be honest, it’s less than half of what I expect to receive for a comeback. Yes, I’m aiming to relaunch my career for half a billion bucks. That Joshua bubble burst. And for this amount, I am ready to solve all his problems instead of him.

The thing is that Fury does not believe in Joshua’s chances to beat Usyk in the second fight (the first took place in London in September and ended with a Ukrainian decision). The WBC champion believes that even the new coach Robert Garcia will not help Joshua in the fight with Usyk – here is his detailed analysis.

Fury is confident that he will receive the announced amount: “Understand that when Usyk beats Joshua in a rematch, there will be only one man left who can stand up for the honor of the British flag. And this guy’s name is Tyson Fury. I can solve any problem. Just one call and I’m there. But be mindful of the price — such a service will cost you $500 million.”

Fury previously announced his retirement, but he does not give up the WBC belt. Joshua and Usyk are “two suckers” for him. According to the champion, Joshua had a chance to beat Usyk in a rematch, but he ruined everything.
