As it was officially announced today, on December 3 in London (England), the WBC world heavyweight champion Briton Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will make a voluntary title defense in the third fight against compatriot Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KO).
The champion’s British and American promoters, respectively, Frank Warren and Bob Arum spoke out on the occasion.
“I am thrilled to present Tyson Fury’s title defense in front of his British fans in London,” says Warren. – Tyson has clearly conquered America with his trilogy with Deontay Wilder, there is also a huge demand for his fights all over the world. “Derek is also a big fan favorite in the UK, he has been reborn in recent years and Tyson has long expressed a desire to fight him a third time,” continued Frank. “Tyson can’t afford to misfire as he has a highly publicized overall fight against Usyk in the new year that we’re looking forward to.”
“Whenever Tyson Fury fights, it’s a big deal and I expect him to put on a spectacular show for the fans again,” Arum said. “There’s already talk of what’s next for Tyson, but the first thing he needs to do is fight an incredibly strong fighter in Derek Chisora.”
