Fury must agree to Joshua’s terms – British expert

British expert Gareth Davies dreams strongly that his compatriot heavyweights Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) will agree and meet in a head-to-head fight before the end of the year. Fury’s WBC title will be at stake in a potential fight.

The main obstacle on the way to organizing the fight is the date. Joshua insists on December 17, while Fury wants to turn the whole thing a little earlier.

Opinion Davis: “If today is a realistic deadline, then they should have suggested a December 17th date. And so, I do not think that something will come out of all this. My opinion is that everything could only come together if they agreed to the date proposed by Joshua’s team. See for yourself. Previously, they negotiated this fight for 8.5 months (in 2020-2021), but did not agree. Do you really believe that now they will do everything in a week?”

“I’m glad Fury challenged Joshua. For at least a whole week we had a topic for conversation, – the expert smiles. “And I’m very happy that Joshua accepted this fight. And everything else is promotional games. For the fight to take place, Fury would need to accept Joshua’s date. Then there would be a chance. And so… It’s too early for Joshua. He just had a difficult rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. He needs a little more time.”

Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum previously talked about this potential fight (Top Rank). He thinks it will be a massacre and that the fighting teams are saying the opposite.
