Franklin should be taken more seriously than Usyk – Joshua

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua claims that his upcoming fight with Jermaine Franklin could be even tougher than the two previous fights against Oleksandr Usyk, which he lost. The Briton said

“I should probably take Franklin more seriously than Usyk, for example,” he said. “It’s just that now I know that the way I prepared before is not enough.”

AJ says that now he knows – “I need to push myself more to work even better.”

“As long as I perform, I will always have such a high level of expectations from myself. This is the only way to become a better fighter,” he said.

Anthony will enter the ring for the first time under new trainer Derrick James.

In a recent interview, Franklin promised to put Joshua’s ass to sleep, and a little earlier doubted the quality of the Briton’s resume. His compatriot, coach Dominic Ingle, also doubts him: AJ passed the test with Klitschko, but this does not count.
