Francis Ngannou responds to Jon Jones attack

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, responded to Jon Jones, who did not like the words of the Cameroonian about the legitimacy of the upcoming fight for the vacant title vacated by the Predator.

“I found an interview with Francis in which he says that he will forever remain the undisputed champion because no one beat him,” Jones wrote on the social network the other day. “When I saw this, my tone changed. Now I can say what I really think. He made the right decision and left before I got back. Smart move!

“Now Johnny Boy is on the other side of the fence!” Ngannou replied, quoting Jones about Daniel Cormier’s light heavyweight championship.

“He has never been a light heavyweight champion. He never beat me. Since 2011, this is my era. I want to say it loud and clear: DC is not a double champion. When we talk about a flag over my name, there will always be a flag over the idea that he was a double champion,” Jones said at the time.

Recall that the fight for the vacant UFC heavyweight championship belt between Jon Jones and Cyril Gan will be the main event of the UFC 285 tournament, which will be held on March 4 in Las Vegas, and Russian heavyweight Sergey Pavlovich will insure the title fight.
