Francis Ngannou could return to the UFC after his fight with Tyson Fury

With his current PFL contract in hand, after his boxing match with Tyson Fury, former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, may make a one-fight return to the world’s strongest league to fight Jon Jones.

The Cameroonian revealed this in an interview with Joe Rogan in response to a related question from a UFC commentator.

“Yes, it’s possible, but they need to come to an agreement with the PFL,” “The Predator” stated. “The PFL is willing to go for it. They’ll let me do it.”

“But what happens if you beat Jon Jones?”, Rogan clarified.

“I honestly don’t know,” Ngannou replied.

Earlier this year, Francis Ngannou officially vacated the UFC championship belt after leaving the organization as a free agent, and in March, Jon Jones successfully resumed his career after a three-year hiatus, finishing Cyril Gana with a first-round guillotine choke to win the vacant title.

In May, the Cameroonian heavyweight signed a contract with the PFL league, including becoming the head of the organization’s African division, and in July it was officially announced that the former UFC champion would make his boxing debut and face current WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in his next fight. The ten-round non-title boxing match will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Jon Jones will make his title defense on November 11 at UFC 295 in New York City, and the American will be opposed by his compatriot Stipe Miocic.
