Francis Ngannou cited the reason for his defeat in the fight against Anthony Joshua

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, has spoken about what went wrong in his boxing match against Anthony Joshua, in which he suffered a crushing defeat by knockout in the second round.

According to ‘The Predator’, he didn’t enter the ring in the best physical condition as he had to fight deep into the night.

“The fight didn’t go the way we planned,” MMAfighting quoted “Predator” as saying. “It was a weird day. I arrived at the arena at ten o’clock in the evening, but I didn’t fight until half past four in the night. Already warming up, I felt tired – I was sweating, but I wanted to sleep.”

“However, I give credit to Anthony Joshua and his team – they were in the same conditions but they did their job perfectly. I was the one who didn’t do what I was supposed to do and didn’t execute my fight plan because I was essentially absent from the ring. I can only blame myself – that’s the way the game is played.”

Recall that the British boxer already in the middle of the first round sent the Cameroonian to knockdown, then dropped him again in the second three minutes, and the third fall of “The Predator” was the last in the fight, as he remained lying unconscious and was unable to get up without the help of the medical team.
