Former unified super lightweight champion American Jose Ramirez (27-1, 17 KOs) told the reason for the sudden withdrawal from the fight for the vacant WBC title. Yesterday it became known that the belt will be played in the fight between the Americans Jose Cepeda (35-2, 27 KOs) and Regis Prograis (27-1, 22 KOs).
It turned out that in October Ramirez got married. Boxing lawyer Peter Aguayo
told the sourcethat it was precisely because of this overlay that the boxer decided to step aside for a while, but he would immediately go to the winner of this fight.
Meanwhile, Cepeda and Prograis are happy with the WBC decision.
