Former UFC champion Rashad Evans to compete in Khabib League tournament

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans, who retired in 2018, will fight at Eagle FC 44 in Miami on the night of January 28th.

In the main event of the evening Dutch fighter Tyrone Spong will face Brazilian Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

The Eagle FC league, owned by Khabib Nurmagomedov, will host the show in the US for the first time.

Nurmagomedov acquired the promotion in November 2020. The deal amounted to $1 million. After the acquisition, the fighter rebranded – the promotion changed its name from the Gorilla Fighting Championship to the Eagle Fighting Championship. Since the purchase, 12 Eagle FC tournaments have taken place.
