Jamal Hill won the vacant UFC bantamweight championship belt early last year by defeating Glover Teixeira by unanimous decision, but the American was forced to vacate the title as early as July after tearing his Achilles tendon while playing basketball.
The vacant title was eventually won by former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, who finished Jiri Prohazka by second-round technical knockout last November.
The Brazilian has previously stated that he wants to see Hill as his next opponent. Theoretically, a title fight between Alex Pereira and Jamal Hill could take place on April 13 at the UFC 300 anniversary event in Las Vegas.
