Fight between Vadim Nemkov and Yoel Romero will be rescheduled

The title fight between reigning Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov and contender for his belt Yoel Romero, who left the Bellator 290 tournament the day before, remains in place and will take place as part of one of the organization’s events next year.

A new date for the fight between the Russian and the Cuban will be announced soon.

Last month, Vadim Nemkov won the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix, defeating Corey Anderson by unanimous decision in the final match, after which his fight against Yoel Romero was announced, however, the Russian did not rule out that the fight would be postponed because he did not have enough time for recovery and preparation.

Earlier, representatives of the organization officially announced that instead of a light heavyweight title fight, fans will see a middleweight title fight between the reigning division champion, Johnny Eblin, and the contender for his belt, Anatoly Tokov.

The main event of the Bellator 290 tournament, which will take place on February 4 in Inglewood, remains the heavyweight title fight between Ryan Bader and Fedor Emelianenko, who plans to end his professional career with this fight.
