Fedor Emelianenko told when the next fight will take place and who can become an opponent

Legendary Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko is planning a farewell fight in June or July. French fighter Cheick Kongo is considered as a possible opponent.

“We discussed June-July,” Emelianenko said in an interview with Okko MMA. — So far, I can not say anything about the opponent. Basically, yes, I would like to [провести бой] with Cheick Kongo or… Let’s see how things develop. Let’s see how Valentine fights back. I really hope Valentine [Молдавский] become a champion.”

In his last fight, which took place on October 23 at the Bellator tournament in Moscow, Emelianenko won by knockout against American Timothy Johnson.

On the night of January 30 at Bellator 273 in the United States, Fedor Emelianenko’s student Valentin Moldavsky will face the reigning heavyweight champion Ryan Bader.
