Ex-sparring of Ward, Golovkin and Beterbiev shared his memories

39 year old American gatekeeper
Dafir Smith (28-26-7 4 KOs) competed in the pros from 2001 to 2014, and then had two more fights in 2020-2021. But this guy is better known for his work as a sparring partner.

“I have done over 15 training camps with world champions. And among them were such stars as Gennady Golovkin, Andre Ward, Adonis Stevenson, Arthur Abraham, –
tells Smith. – But all these are flowers in comparison with the opposition to Artur Beterbiev. That was back in 2014. He spent 6 fights on profiring, no one knew him yet. For a while, I was his only sparring partner. And every day I thought about how to pack a bag and leave from there. Trust me this dude will end his career undefeated with a 100% stoppage statistic. I just don’t see anyone who could go all the way with him.”

Smith also remembered other stars.

About Golovkin: It was the hardest camp I have ever been to (2013). And his punches… He’s got the power of a heavyweight. And his blows fly both to the body and to the head …

About Ward: One of the most technical and intelligent boxers I have ever sparred with. And also this is an unusually kind man who will give you the last shirt.

June 20 in New York (USA) Beterbiev beat the American Joe Smith. Now the Russian, forced to box under the flag of Canada, holds the WBC, IBF and WBO titles. The missing WBA Super belt is also from a boxer from Russia – Dmitry Bivol – in the last fight held, he came out under the flag of Kyrgyzstan and beat the Mexican star Saul Alvarez.

The other day in
streaming DAZN
declared that the Beterbiev-Bivol fight is real. So they answered the “absurd” Arum.
