Former head coach of the national boxing team of Ukraine Dmitry Sosnovsky called the long-term president of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Prodivus an “impostor” and a “Russian collaborator”, who says that he is a patriot, but at the same time is an ally of a functionary from the Russian Federation, a Ukrainophobe and an adherent of the invasion of Ukraine Umar Kremlin.
“Of course, he is no president. The fake conference that allegedly elected him FBU President was held with great violations. In fact, he called himself president. I don’t understand how he was registered with the Ministry of Justice. Prodivus is not a president, he is an impostor. He is doing everything to ruin Ukrainian boxing, ”said Sosnovsky in an interview.
Camp Sport.
He recalled that on May 20, Minister of Youth and Sports Vadim Gutzeit expressed a “very positive position” about Prodivus.
“Everyone already understands who Prodivus is. Even after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, when he said “not to trust anyone”, that he took his family out of Ukraine and “will return now.” He hasn’t returned yet. And I don’t think he’s coming back here. Because he made a big mistake. By all indications, he is a cynical collaborator and a traitor to our Motherland. Why cynical? Because a person who cynically says that he is a patriot of Ukraine is cynicism of the highest grade. And after that, he goes and supports the Kremlin, ”Sosnovsky explained.
WBC joins forces with IBA to save boxing for the Olympics
Sosnovsky stressed that the Ministry of Justice “should” register the “legally elected President Kirill Shevchenko” (head of the Kyiv boxing federation – ed.) as the president of the FBU.
“I am also interested in other people. Those presidents of regional federations, those figures, coaches who scold and support his messages on social networks, congratulate him on his election to the position in the IBA. If Prodivus is a collaborator, who are the people who support him? They got positions illegally and hold on to their positions,” the specialist emphasized.
“I hope that outstanding boxers and influential people in boxing will protect our sport, and it will still not be excluded from the Olympic Games program,” summed up Sosnovsky.
Prodivus says that he did not vote for the Kremlin, but there were no elections either: a circus at a boxing congress.
