Immediately after a second victory over Anthony Joshua, which allowed him to defend the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) announced that the next fight would be either against WBC champion Tyson Fury (32 -0-1, 23 KOs) or won’t box at all.
At today’s
press conferences Usyk was asked in Kyiv if he would enter the ring against another opponent if the WBC title was at stake, which Alexander lacked for a complete collection.
“(If Fury doesn’t come back) It’s going to be a little bit different because a lot of people want (to see) this fight. We don’t know what’s in his head, because this is Tyson Fury, and everyone knows that this is a very crazy kid, Usyk said. – People communicate, people work (on the organization of the fight), those who have the rights to this are the manager, the promoter. I would really like this fight to take place next year. Because if not Tyson Fury, then somehow there is no interest in boxing with anyone else.
Usyk will beat Fury! Wilder’s coach said meanwhile.
