Eduard Vartanyan defeated Artem Reznikov in the ACA Grand Prix Final

Russian fighter Eduard Vartanyan became the winner of the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix, having scored an early victory over the representative of Kazakhstan Artem Reznikov at the ACA 159 tournament in Sochi.

The fight, which became the main event of the event, ended at 4:32 of the third round after the shocked Reznikov, being on the ground, went into a deaf defense and stopped responding to Vartanyan’s finishing blows.

Until that moment, Vartanyan dominated Reznikov in the standing position, where he put pressure on him, broke him and inflicted serious damage, and also successfully defended himself from the opponent’s attempts to take the fight to the ground.

After the fight, Eduard Vartanyan thanked the opponent for the fight, and also turned to the president of the ACA league, Mairbek Khasiev, with a request to pay Artem Reznikov the $10,000 bonus due to him, which was promised to the Russian, if the Kazakh fighter does not hold his trademark north-south choke. Khasiev replied that he would not only pay this amount, but also add another $20,000 from the Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov Foundation.
