Russian actor and showman Nikita Dzhigurda, in a conversation with SE, shared his impressions of the duel with Russian blogger Alexander Shpak at the Nashe Delo pop MMA promotion tournament.
“For me, this fight is won, I announced this in advance. Ten days before the fight, I received confirmation that Shpak had signed the contract. Before that, I did nothing, I did not prepare in any way. I understood that Alexander Shpak was my brother in spirit. He, like me, is called a freak, he is interesting because he himself went against the current, remaining a cool guy inside. During the preparation, I never went to the gym, I never hit the bag. All my training consisted in spiritual rites, I do push-ups at the altar at home, I do squats, I fight with a shadow. I understood that I had a 25 kg difference with Sasha, I barely gained 2 kg of weight for the fight, ”said Dzhigurda in an interview with Georgy Skoblikov, a SE correspondent.
Nikita Dzhigurda also spoke about the significance of the fight with Alexander Shpak.
“On the physical level, the Dzhigurda fighter loses, but on the spiritual level, he wins. Talented, intelligent, creative Shpak is given the springboard, which is already being respected at a press conference. People begin to see the essence behind the bright form. This is my victory, ”added Dzhigurda.
The fight was stopped in the second round after a knockdown by Dzhigurda. As part of the fights of the pop-MMA tournament, this defeat was the first for the 60-year-old actor after two victories: over singer Otar Kushanashvili and deputy Vitaly Milonov.
