Dustin Poirier: “Maybe we’ll fight Conor one more time”

The American is very pleased that he managed to take revenge

Former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion Dustin Poirier commented on the surprise for many victory over the former champion of the promotion in two divisions Conor McGregor in a rematch.

“I am happy but not surprised because I did a good job. I want to say that Conor took the result very professionally. Now we are 1-1, so maybe we will fight again.

My goal was to be technical and to pick punches. I did not want to enter the wheelhouse at all. I can box very technically, but I tend to lose my head and get into trouble.

Let’s see what will happen next. For me, this fight was like a title fight. I am a champion,” Poirier said.

Note that McGregor was knocked out for the first time in his career. The first meeting of the fighters, held in the fall of 2014, ended with an early victory for Conor in the first round.
