Dos Anjos, McKinney and Gordon are all set to replace Hooker in the Green fight

Three fighters have volunteered on short notice to replace the injured Dan Hooker and step in for a fight against Bobby Green in ten days.

The most prominent replacement candidate was former UFC lightweight champion, Rafael Dos Anjos, who suggested the American fight in the interim or welterweight division.

“Hey Bobby Green, Austin, this counts as my backyard – let’s do it,” the Brazilian wrote on social media. “I can do 165-170 pounds.”

American lightweight Terrence McKinney, who is on a streak of two early wins, has also indicated a desire to face Green.

“I would be honored to fight the king,” McKinney wrote. “I’m a gangster too. The fight with Matt Frevola – 10 days notice. With Drew Dober – eight days notice. With Brandon Marott – 6 days notice.”

Jared Gordon, whose fight with Green this past April was ruled a no contest due to an accidental head clash in the first round, is not a stranger to replacement fights.

“Let’s do it again!”, Gordon appealed to Green.

Recall that the fight between Green and Hooker was supposed to be the second main event of the UFC on ESPN 52 tournament, which will take place on December 2 in Austin, Texas, USA.
