Donaire ahead of Inoue rematch: ‘I’m the best’

WBC world champion in the bantamweight (up to 53.5 kg) Nonito Donaire (42-6, 28 KOs) assures that on the eve of the rematch with the offender – the owner of the WBA and IBF belts Naoya Inoue (22-0, 19 KOs) – him “the highest motivation of his entire career.”

“I’m just very, very motivated. I think Inoue is the best fighter in the division and that’s what I want to say myself when I beat him,” Donaire said. “The only thing on my mind right now is that I will be the undisputed champion. I meditate on this. That I am the best.”

Nonito is pleased that they chose punching gloves for today’s fight.

The fight will take place today, June 7th, at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The first fight in November 2019 ended with Inoue’s victory on points.
