Dominick Cruz: “I turn off the sound when Daniel Cormier comments on fights”

Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz criticized another ex-champion of the organization Daniel Cormier for his work as a commentator at UFC tournaments.

“Jon Anik does a ton of homework when he gets ready to air,” Cruz said at the UFC 269 media day. “I give him credit. He directs the commentators in the report, sets the course. As for DC, I just turn off the sound when he comments.

I like DC, he’s my friend, but he just doesn’t prepare for reporting. From my experience, I see that he is not prepared. He just wants to come and go, get his check for the job. Yes, he respects fighters, but he just doesn’t prepare. I hope that this time he will at least watch the video of my fights, find out what I do in fights, what I don’t do. But anyway, I won’t listen to it with bated breath.”

Cruz will face Pedro Munoz on December 11 at UFC 269 in Las Vegas.
