Doctors demand an end to anti-vaccine misinformation on Joe Rogan’s podcast

A group of more than 260 doctors, professors, scientists signed an open letter calling on the Spotify platform to “immediately establish a clear and public policy on disinformation moderation.”

The signers were outraged by the December 31, 2021 episode of UFC commentator Joe Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which featured infamous virologist Robert Malone, creator of mRNA vaccine technology, as a guest.

Malone was previously banned from Twitter for criticizing the Pfizer vaccine. He repeatedly stated that vaccination created mass psychosis and called it a medical experiment comparable to the crimes of Nazi Germany.

“As physicians, we bear the heavy burden of a pandemic that has pushed our medical systems to the limit and can only be exacerbated by the anti-vaccine sentiment woven into this and other episodes of Rogan’s podcast,” the physicians said in a statement.

Malone is not the only guest on The Joe Rogan Experience to criticize vaccinations: Alex Jones, a far-right radio host, said on a podcast that people were being microchip-treated under the guise of precautions against Covid-19.
