Chernyshenko believes that Russian athletes will show themselves worthy when kickboxing enters the Olympics program
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko believes that the Russians will be able to win more than one gold medal when kickboxing is included in the program of the Olympic Games.
“Now more than 150 thousand people are professionally engaged in kickboxing in Russia. Of these, over 300 people have the titles of masters and honored masters of sports, as well as masters of sports of international class. Even more – 8.5 thousand athletes have the first category or are candidates for the master of sports. I hope that when kickboxing is already included in the program of the Olympic Games, our guys will show themselves with dignity and bring Russia more than one gold medal, ”the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers quotes Chernyshenko.
Note that kickboxing received full recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) this summer.
