Dillon Danis issued a statement after his loss to Logan Paul

American grappler Dillon Danis, who gained notoriety for training with Conor McGregor and landing himself on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s head, commented on his boxing match loss to Logan Paul, to whom he lost by disqualification in the sixth round last weekend.

“El Jefe” made it clear that he expects a rematch with the blogger in a mixed martial arts bout, and also let loose a barb on his opponent’s fiancée, who sued him shortly before the fight.

“A jiu-jitsu guy with no boxing training camp or coach made his boxing debut, wasn’t shaken, didn’t fall down, and shook you a few times,” Danis wrote on social media, referring to Paul. “If I were Nina I would call off the wedding. You’ve accomplished nothing in your sport, now it’s MMA’s turn.”

It’s not clear what “his sport” Denis is talking about, as the youtuber, who had no amateur career, has only one professional boxing bout to his credit, in which he lost by split decision to blogger KSI. The American also had an exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, standing up to the legendary boxer for all eight rounds.

Dillon Danis’ professional MMA record consists of two victories under the Bellator banner, the most recent of which he won in June 2019, finishing Max Humphrey with a leveraged elbow in the first round.

Recall that the exhibition boxing match between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis ended with the disqualification of the grappler, who made a failed attempt to choke his opponent with a guillotine at the end of the final round and provoked a massive scuffle.
