Dillian Whyte and Jermaine Franklin almost agreed to fight – promoter

Negotiations for a heavyweight bout between British ex-world title contender Dillian Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) and unbeaten American Jermaine Franklin (21-0, 14 KOs) are progressing well. In any case, according to Franklin’s promoter, a native of Odessa, Dmitry Salita.

According to him, the parties are “very close to a deal” on November 26. Where the fight is scheduled to take place has yet to be announced.

Recall that in the previous fight, White had the opportunity to become a world champion for the first time, but he missed it, having suffered an early defeat from compatriot and WBC title holder Tyson Fury. It was in April of this year, and Dillian lost by technical knockout in the 6th round.

28-year-old Franklin did not compete for 2.5 years and returned to the ring in May, beating Rodney Moore, who is 18 years older than him, in 5 rounds.

Earlier there was information that White claimed a fight for the WBA World title with compatriot Daniel Dubois, but demanded an unbearable (according to the organizers) fee – 3 million pounds.
