Dana White spoke about the decisions in the battles Ankalaev-Blachowicz and Pimblett-Gordon

UFC President Dana White has no complaints about the judges who made highly controversial decisions in the two main fights of the UFC 282 tournament held in Las Vegas.

In particular, the head of the organization believes that a draw is a natural result in the duel between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blakhovic, who failed to play for the vacant UFC light heavyweight championship belt.

“I think the main event was terrible,” White was quoted as saying by MMAJunkie. “I started to pass out after three damn rounds. I heard that Ankalaev was upset, that’s all, but what was he waiting for? You were beaten for two rounds, and you moved your opponent to the ground. What result do you expect?

As for the second most important event of the event, in which Jared Gordon lost by unanimous decision to Paddy Pimblett, the head of the UFC believes that the American should not have reduced activity in the final round.

“Gordon had a terrible game plan for the third round. He decided that he won the first two rounds and what do the judges think the same way? How could he know? It was necessary to go out and do everything possible to win this round. If you’re sure who the judges think won a particular round, you’re probably out of your mind. I’ve been doing this for 23 years and I have no idea what they’ll do.”

“He decided that he won the first two rounds, and began to hold the opponent near the net. And I have a claim to the referee. It’s a big fight, the second biggest event, the crowd goes crazy and you just let them stand at the net? But these things happen. What can you do here?

“Gordon had a terrible plan, he stopped fighting and the referee allowed it. Jared did a great job in this fight and should have fought in the third round.”
