Dana White: Francis Ngannou will never be in the UFC

One of the most intimidating punchers in the world, Francis Ngannou, who left the UFC as a free agent at the beginning of this year, will never again compete under his organization’s banner, league president Dana White is sure.

“We worked with this guy for two years trying to get him a fight,” said the head of the UFC in an interview with Pat McAfee. “It is absolutely impossible to deal with him. No, he will never be in the UFC again.”

“He made a decision. We worked hard trying to make a deal with him. One of my guys, Hunter Campbell, who works for me, had 75 meals with him trying to keep him on board. We offered him a lot of money, treated him with exceptional respect. We wanted to leave it, but now this ship has sailed away.”

In January of this year, Francis Ngannou officially left the organization, vacating the UFC heavyweight championship belt. The Cameroonian “Predator” is going to spend his next fight in professional boxing, and then plans to return to mixed martial arts under the PFL or ONE Championship banner.
