UFC President Dana White is unhappy with the work of octagon referee Herb Dean after the UFC Vegas 42 tournament.
“Herb Dean should stop touching the fighters before the fight is stopped. In this fight between Ben and Lima, he touched them, grabbed their wrists even before they stopped. On repeat, it looks like he’s dancing. Stands and twitches, grabs them… He needs to be more determined – either he jumps in and stops the fight or not. I like Herb, he’s a nice guy, but he should stop grabbing people before the fight is stopped,” White said at the post-match press conference.
Ben Rothwell lost to Marcos Rogerio de Lima by knockout in the first round.
