Dan Hooker has pulled out of his bout against Bobby Green

Ten days before the event, UFC on ESPN 52 lost one of its main events.

The New Zealand Herald reports that co-main event participant Dan Hooker suffered a hand injury and has pulled out of his upcoming five-round bout with American Bobby Green. There is no information yet on when the New Zealand lightweight will return to the octagon.

Green has already reached out to potential opponents in hopes that someone will accept a fight with him on ten days notice.

“I want to see if there’s a gangster like me,” the American fighter said in a video posted on social media. “I fought on ten days notice, I fought on two weeks notice. I passed out at the weigh-in, but I did it. Let’s see if there is still a gangster like that. I guarantee no one will come out, but let’s find out.”

As a reminder, the UFC on ESPN 52 tournament will take place on December 2 in Austin, Texas, and its main event will be a lightweight fight between American Benil Dariush and Russian Arman Tsarukyan.
