Damir Ismagulov made a statement after the defeat

Russian-Kazakhstani lightweight Damir Ismagulov, who suffered his second defeat in a row last weekend in a confrontation with American Grant Dawson, gave a brief comment about another unsuccessful performance.

“Not everything always goes according to our plan,” Ismagulov, who lost all three rounds at UFC on ESPN 48 in Las Vegas, wrote on the social network.

Last December, 32-year-old Damir Ismagulov suffered his first loss in the UFC, losing a unanimous decision to his compatriot Arman Tsarukyan. After that, the former M-1 Challenge champion announced his retirement, however, he later changed his mind and postponed his retirement.

Before losing to Tsarukyan, Ismagulov scored five victories in the UFC, failing to finish a single fight ahead of schedule.
