Damir Ismagulov explained about the end of his career

Russian-Kazakh fighter Damir Ismagulov, who announced his retirement the day before, made it clear that his resignation is not final and irrevocable.

“I posted the news and I see so many comments,” said the twelfth UFC lightweight in a video posted on social networks. “You know, I ended my career not because I lost or something. Every athlete has defeats and victories, they go side by side, this is an integral part of the sport. You need to heal a little, and then you’ll see. Minor health issues. So it’s all right”

Former M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Damir Ismagulov, who debuted in the UFC in December 2018, suffered his first defeat under the banner of the strongest league in the world two weeks ago, losing a unanimous decision to Arman Tsarukyan. Prior to that, Ismagulov won five victories in the organization, however, none of the rivals managed to finish ahead of schedule.

It should be noted that three months ago Ismagulov announced that the fight against Tsarukyan could be his last performance in the UFC if the organization did not offer him an improved contract.
