Dalakyan has an opponent, date and place of the fight. But questions remain

According to
The Ring
WBA flyweight champion Ukrainian Artyom Dalakyan (21-0, 15 KOs) will face his mandatory contender Costa Rican David Jimenez on January 28 in England.

The source suggested that the fight will take place as a warm-up for light heavyweights – on this day at Wembley Arena (London, England) Canadian unified division champion Russian Artur Beterbiev will take on local challenger Anthony Yarde. Here, however, there is still a small Bulgarian nuance.

Version from The Ring contradicts insider data. They say that Dalakyan and Jimenez will box on the same day, but in another London arena – O2. And if the rumors are true, then this means that the fight will take place as part of a show from another local top promoter.

It is possible that we are talking about the boss Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearne, who has a reigning world champion at this weight (Julio Cesar Martinez, Mexico, WBC) and is likely to have another one soon (Jesse Rodriguez, USA, WBO). But in that case, he definitely would not have done this fight in England (Martinez and Rodriguez are fighting in the USA).

And this means that with a high degree of probability Dalakyan and Jimenez will box in the show from Probellum. Everything is simple here. The promotion signed the division leader – local IBF champion Sunny Edwards, who recently said that if he does not get a unification fight, he will rise to 52.2 kg.

In November, Edwards pulled out a victory from Alvarado – video.
