Cris Cyborg has made a plea to the UFC

Former UFC champion and current Bellator featherweight titleholder Cris Cyborg wants to compete at UFC 300, which takes place April 13 in Las Vegas.

The Brazilian made the request to UFC management after the fight between Kayla Harrison and Holly Holm was officially announced.

“Dana White, I would like the Cyborg-Nunes 2 fight to be added to the UFC 300 tournament card as well,” Cyborg wrote on social media.

This past weekend, former dual UFC champion Amanda Nunes announced that she may resume her professional career, after which Cris Cyborg publicly stated her willingness to return to the UFC for a rematch with her compatriot.

The first fight between the Brazilian women took place in December 2018 and ended in a sensational victory for Amanda Nunes, who knocked out Cris Cyborg in the 51st second of the match and took the UFC featherweight title from her.

Cris Cyborg, 38, picked up her seventh straight victory last October, finishing Cat Zingano by first-round technical knockout, while Amanda Nunes, 35, won a unanimous decision over Irene Aldana in June and announced the end of her professional career.
