Crawford names ‘culprit’ for crashing Spence fight

The WBO welterweight world champion (up to 66.7 kg) American Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) does not consider himself in any way to blame for the disruption of the duel scheduled for December for the title of absolute division champion against compatriot Errol Spence () . At the same time, Terence knows why everything did not work out in the end.

Recall that in the end, Crawford will defend on December 10 against the Russian David Avanesyan, and Spence, apparently, will meet with the former US champion Keith Thurman a week later.

“There’s nothing to be done – I’m moving on with my career,” Terence throws up his hands. “Errol and I, if we fight, it will be next year. I just don’t like that a lot of people accuse me of trying to put up a fight. But now my focus is not on Errol anyway, but on David Avanesyan.”

“I blame the boxing business for everything,” Crawford says, returning to the topic of the broken negotiations for the fight with Spence, “but it’s not my fault in the slightest. I seem to have agreed to everything I had to agree to and I feel like I did everything I had to do as an independent fighter to make this fight happen. But not everything depends only on me.
