Corey Anderson, 33, was defeated in the final of the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix last November, losing a five-round unanimous decision to reigning division champion Vadim Nemkov.
Phil Davis, 38, is on a two-game winning streak with a split decision over Yoel Romero and a unanimous decision over Julius Englikas. Prior to that, Davis also lost to Nemkov, losing to the Russian by unanimous decision.
Corey Anderson and Phil Davis are currently #1 and #2 in the Bellator light heavyweight rankings, respectively.
Recall that the main event of the Bellator 297 tournament will be the light heavyweight title fight between Vadim Nemkov and Yoel Romero.
