Conor McGregor refuted Dana White’s remarks

Former UFC champion in two weight categories, Conor McGregor, continues to insist that his return to the octagon will take place this summer, and not in the fall, as previously reported by the head of the organization, Dana White.

This was announced by the Irish fighter before the final National Football League match held last Sunday in the United States.

“Sunday’s Superbowl is one of the highlights of sporting events for my friends in the US, second only to my return to the octagon this summer. Good luck to the teams – leave me some Vegas,” McGregor wrote on social media.

The game, which was won by Kansas City’s 25-22 win over San Francisco, ended hours ago and did not fulfill the hopes of fans of the world’s strongest league who were expecting the headliners for the UFC 300 tournament to be named during one of the contest’s commercial breaks.

Thus, the anniversary event, which will take place on April 13 in Las Vegas, is still without a main event, and it looks like this is becoming a serious problem for the organization’s matchmakers.

Two days earlier, reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is recovering from injury, announced that he had responded to an offer from the league’s management to headline the show.
