According to the UFC’s plan, Conor McGregor was scheduled to take the fight against Michael Chandler, with whom he coached rival teams in the next season of TUF, by the end of this year, but the Irishman’s absence from the USADA testing pool led to the bout being postponed until next year.
This past weekend, UFC CEO, Dana White, revealed that the organization’s plans do not yet include Conor McGregor, as his return will depend on many different factors. That being said, Chandler has not ruled out that his fight with the Irishman could headline the UFC 300 anniversary event, which will take place in March or April 2024.
Recall that 35-year-old Conor McGregor last stepped into the octagon in July 2021, suffering a severe leg fracture in the final match of the trilogy against Dustin Puryear.
