Conor McGregor has announced a three-fight plan in the UFC

Former dual UFC champion Conor McGregor, who recently announced that he was no longer interested in fighting Michael Chandler, has promised to step up for a fight with the American in December, and has also revealed the names of two fighters he plans to share the octagon with after that.

“Next Chandler in December – I have to do it,” the Irishman told talkSPORT. “After that I’ll fight Gaethje for the BMF title and then I’ll complete the trilogy with Nate.”

The fight between McGregor and Chandler was previously reported to be happening by UFC president, Dana White, who explained the Irishman’s provocative statements by explaining that he likes to mislead the press, fans and especially potential opponents.

If the fight does take place in December, it will be the main event of UFC 296, which the world’s strongest league will close out the current year with on December 16.

Note that Conor McGregor spoke to talkSPORT reporter at the boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Robert Helenius, in which the former world heavyweight champion won by knockout in the seventh round.
