Rising welterweight star (up to 66.7 kg) Briton Conor Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) can hold the next fight against ex-world champion from the USA Keith Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs).
A month ago, it became known that Benn is ready to specifically weight for the fight with Chris Eubank. However, according to Conor’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, they are currently focused specifically on the fight against Thurman and are even ready to interest the American financially.
“We want to fight Keator Thurman,” Hearn said. “Today I was asked a million questions about Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr. I can say that we are not in the final stages of negotiations for this fight … Right now we are focused on the welterweight division (for Benn), and I hope that his opponent will be Keith Thurman.
“Conor is already a big star. And we have money to arrange everything. So let’s see how it will turn out, ”the functionary encouraged

Meanwhile, back in May, Hearn talked about the Top Rank offer: he wanted to bring Benn to the ex-contender for the absolute championship in the super lightweight division.
