Conor Benn in greater danger – Hearn is worried about the ward

British promoter Eddie Hearn believes that his ward Conor Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) is in a less favorable position when it comes to the upcoming fight against Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs).

Recall that the boxers will meet on October 8 within the agreed weight up to 71.2 kg, while Eubank has recently performed at 72.6 kg, while Benn boxed at 66.7 kg.

“To be honest, Conor Benn is in more danger, because when a fighter goes up one and a half divisions, this is a big minus. If we talk about Eubank, then he goes down three pounds (a little less than 1.5 kg, approx. vRINGe). I understand how hard it can be, especially if a fighter is having trouble making 72.6kg. But in this regard, his team, his coach and the British Boxing Control Board are all happy. If I’m not mistaken, most recently before the fight, he weighed 72 kg.

“Somehow, I see this as a big disadvantage for Conor Benn, who is moving up in weight. He will be a lesser fighter when they enter the ring,” the promoter added.

On the eve of Eubank honestly said that Benn has no chance.
