Colby Covington voiced a second reason for the loss

Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington, who lost by unanimous decision to reigning division champion Leon Edwards this past weekend, claims he spent nearly the entire title fight with a severe injury suffered in the first minute of the match.

“I broke my leg in the first thirty seconds of the fight,” the American revealed on another edition of the PBD podcast. “People don’t know about it yet, but X-rays will be released soon. It happened in one of the first moments when I landed a leg kick right into his elbow. And I’m still convinced I won the fight.”

Twenty-four hours after the fight, “Chaos” claimed that the judges were biased and robbed him of the win because of the political views and support of former US President Donald Trump, who was present at the event.

Recall that the welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington, which headlined UFC 296 in Las Vegas, ended with a score of 49-46 three times in favor of the British fighter.
