Colby Covington calls Jon Jones vs Cyril Gan a fake fight

After more than a year of total radio silence, UFC No. 2 welterweight Colby Covington, who was named the next contender for the championship belt over the weekend, began to actively catch up by blowing dust off his trash talk machine gun.

In particular, “Chaos” shared his opinion on the recent fight for the vacant UFC heavyweight title between Jon Jones and Cyril Gan, which ended with the victory of the American by guillotine choke in the first round.

“It all looked like Cyril was scared, couldn’t handle a lot of pressure,” Chaos told James Lynch. “Honestly, it was like a set-up fight. Maybe the brothers of John Jones came up with Cyril and paid him to lie down, because from the outside it looked like that.

Recall that last week, Colby Covington unexpectedly appeared at the weigh-ins for the UFC 286 tournament as a substitute participant in the title fight between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman, and after the Briton defeated the Nigerian again, the American received the status of an official contender for the championship belt.
