Plaza de Toros, Mexico City, Mexico. In the main event of the show, the top featherweight (up to 57.2 kg) Mexican Mauricio Lara (25-2-1, 18 KOs) knocked out Colombian Jose Sanmartin (33-6-1, 21 KOs).
The fighters began the fight at a leisurely pace. Both made a bet on spurts. Lara accentuated the opponent’s body. He jabbed great in response.
In the 2nd round, the favorite beautifully intercepted Sunmartin’s attack with a right hook. The Colombian responded with a low blow. Lara had the last word in the round – he slightly shook the guest with an uppercut.

In the 3rd round, Sunmartin blundered a puncher’s right hook, after which he took a knee in time. But Lara was already unstoppable – he rushed to finishing, sent him to the second knockdown. The referee looked at the guest and realized that it was time to stop the one-sided beating.
