WBC world middleweight champion (up to 72.6 kg) American Jermell Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs) announced his desire to enter the ring against the trilogy winner Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs), scheduled for September 16 in the United States.
“I want a winner (of the third Canelo-Golovkin fight). Whoever wins there, feed them to me,” Charlo urged.
At the same time, Jermall complained that he could already get a fight with Canelo, but he chose the option with fights against Dmitry Bivol and GGG.
“They offered Canelo Floyd Mayweather-level money and he didn’t take it,” Charlo recalls. They can blame me all they want. I’m just a fighter and I’ll just keep fighting.”
Recall that on June 18, Jermall will hold another title defense. This time, his opponent will be the Pole Maciej Sulecki.
Previously, Charlo called for Benavides and Munguia to be given to him.
