Charlo knocks out Tszyu, they are both afraid of me – challenger Murtazaliev

The official contender for the IBF junior middleweight title (up to 69.9 kg) Chechen Bahram Murtazaliev (21-0, 15 KOs) does not believe that he will get a fight with the reigning world champion, whoever it is at the moment when the organization obliges him to carry out immediate protection.

Recall that at the moment the IBF title, as well as the other three belts from the category of “prestigious”, belongs to the American Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs), who on January 28 will defend against the WBO mandatory challenger Australian Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs).

Murtazaliev has no doubts about the outcome of the fight, but even if an upset occurs, he is determined to fight for the vacant title with someone else.

“Charlo will knock out Tszyu with a straight right in six or seven, maximum eight rounds,” Bahram said. “But they are both afraid to fight me, so the winner will vacate the IBF title.”

  • Tim is like Golovkin, I’m sorry Charlo – Nikita Tszyu

Although if all of a sudden something, the applicant would prefer to fight the American:

“I would choose to fight Charlo, of course. If that happened, then all four titles would be on the line, not just one. Yes, Charlo would be perfect.”

On December 17, Murtazaliev closed 2022 with a victory on points (UD 8) over the Mexican
Roberto Valenzuela Jr..
