Charles Oliveira offered to postpone the fight with Islam Makhachev

Having dealt with a potential challenger fight with Benil Dariush, Charles Oliveira is ready to take revenge on Islam Makhachev, but will not mind if the title fight is postponed for two weeks and held not in Abu Dhabi, but in Brazil.

“I will fight where they say,” MMAFighting quotes the Brazilian. “I can’t say, ‘No, I’m not going to fight,’ because then I’ll hear, ‘Okay, Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier, you’re fighting for the title.’ That’s what they’ll do and it won’t change. But when I was a champion, I defended the title on his land. Then he said at the press conference that he wanted to fight in Brazil, so why not fight me in Brazil in November?”

Oliveira also commented on the information that in the confrontation with him, Makhachev opened up as a multiple favorite.

“I am very glad that they consider me an underdog. I promise you, next time I will show the screenshots that people send me, earning from my fights. I joke back – how much is due to me? One earned seven thousand dollars, the other fifteen, someone four, someone three. Whoever believes in Charles Oliveira makes money. If I’m an underdog again, great. Time to bet! Who believes in me, let’s make money! I was the underdog in the fight with Dariush, so many people were able to make good money betting on me. I earned, received a bonus, and those who sat on the couch and cheered for me did not lose out either.

According to the UFC plan, Islam Makhachev should defend the lightweight championship belt on October 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, and the organization’s next Brazilian event will take place on November 4 in Sao Paulo.
