Chandler reacted to the confrontation between McGregor and Ian

UFC lightweight division number five Michael Chandler, who is a prime candidate to fight Conor McGregor, commented on the staredown battle between the Irishman and Petr Yan, which the UFC fighters had at a boxing event in Dubai organized by the International Boxing Association and the Russian Boxing Federation.

“Looking to do a staredown fight with a member of the lightweight, or even the lightest division, at some muddy event. Anyone interested? Want to stay relevant,” the American wrote on social media.

A rumored fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler could headline the UFC 300 anniversary event scheduled for April, while Peter Yan, ranked fifth in the UFC’s lightweight division, is scheduled to return to the octagon on March 9 at UFC 299 in Miami.

The top candidate to fight the Russian is China’s Song Yadong, who defeated American Chris Gutierrez last weekend to challenge the former UFC lightweight champion.
