Castaño reacted harshly to the news of e-Charlo’s injury. There is a reason

The absolute champion of the first middleweight American Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) broke his arm and disrupted the duel scheduled for January with his mandatory challenger Australian Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs).

Former Argentinean champion Brian Castaño (17-1-2, 12 KOs) does not believe Charlo: “I hope Jermell will provide some evidence of his injury and the disruption of the fight with Tszyu. In any case, it will be useful for him to learn this lesson. Let him now remember that injuries happen in boxing. What goes around comes around”.

Castaño and Charlo met twice in 2021-2022 – they determined the absolute. The first fight ended in a controversial draw, in the second the American won ahead of schedule. On the eve of the rematch, Castaño was injured and asked to reschedule the fight – Charlo was indignant for a long time, accusing his opponent of dishonest play. Here Castaño decided to recoup.

Interestingly, Charlo still provided evidence of his injury: “I fought 37 fights and never **a did not endure them. I will never refuse a fight, I will not avoid someone. I am the king in this weight. I am not complaining about mental problems, I am not showing some fake bandages that you can buy at any pharmacy, as Castagno did. I will come back and give my fans two fights next year. Stay in touch!”

37 fights in ain’t never had to postpone shit. I’ll never back out or down from any man. Im King of 154. This ain’t no mental health issue, this ain’t no sling you can buy at a pharmacy like Castano did. Imma bounce back & give my supporters 2 fights this yr. Stay tune. pic.twitter.com/m6wc8s5p1A

It is possible that Tszyu will still perform in January. He has a new potential opponent – this is the ex-world champion. The eternal contender in this weight believes that Charlo will knock out Tszyu, they are both afraid of me.
