Canelo’s legacy will be tarnished forever – promoter

Promoter Sampson Levkowitz (Sampson Boxing) has no doubt that Mexican superstar and undisputed super middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) cannot afford to retire from boxing without facing American David Benavidez (26-0, 23 KOs) in the ring and Cuban David Morrel (8-0, 7 KOs).

“His legacy will be tarnished for the rest of his life,”
thinks Levkowitz. “They will constantly ask him why he never met with them. Why doesn’t he want these fights? Yes, because they both beat him. Yes, Morrel will also beat Canelo. one hundred%. Just like Benavidez. It is for this reason that he is not going to fight them. He will be the underdog in the fight with Benavidez anyway. And in a duel with Morrel, I think the bookmakers will not name a favorite.

Benavidez and Canelo have already scheduled (but not officially confirmed) next fights. The American will face compatriot Caleb Plant, and the Mexican will face British John Ryder.

Levkowitz is confident that “Benavidez vs Morrel is the toughest fight” for David. According to the promoter, “it’s even harder than the fights with Plant and Canelo.”

Have you already decided on the favorite of the superfight Benavidez – Plant? Keep the prediction from the ex-champ who fought both.
