Mexican super middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) during
interview tried himself as a forecaster – the fighter was asked to give his opinion on potential intriguing fights between welterweights Errol Spence and Terence Crawford, as well as between lightweights Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia.
Spence vs Crawford: “I bet on Terence, because he can box both left-handed and right-handed. This is a very difficult fighter. How would I box against Crawford? As always, he would patiently press down, wait for his moment, disturb him with blows to the body. But the main thing is still patience. I think a lot of people are too fixated on hitting Crawford in the head. And this is a very difficult task.”
“Crawford vs Spence is a very good fight,” Canelo says. – Two great fighters. I think it’s going to be a great fight. No disrespect to Spence, but I’m betting on Crawford. He is very technical and powerful. And he’s a smart fighter. Yes, this is boxing. Anything can happen. Is Jaron Ennis ready to compete with them already? I don’t think. He shouldn’t be in a hurry. His time will come.”
Davis vs Garcia: “Good fight. Including good for boxing. It seems to me that the key factor may be the experience of “Tank” Davis. He’s a lot more experienced than Ryan. This is the first thing that comes to mind. But I’m not sure of his victory. In boxing, you can never be sure.”
During the same interview, Canelo named the condition under which he would refuse a rematch with Bivol. And the legend from International Boxing Hall of Fame thinks Golovkin will beat Alvarez. I would take it out in 2-3 rounds.
